For our second annual Bram Stoker Awards Special we’ve cornered two of this year’s big winners – Tom Deady (Superior Achievement in a First Novel for Haven) and Maria Alexander (Superior Achievement in a Young Adult Novel for Snowed) – to discuss their books, their inspirations, and more. In the first half of the episode, interviewer Jason White investigates the story behind Haven in a candid conversation with Deady [Facebook, Twitter], while the latter part of the show sees GLHC co-producer Monica S. Kuebler take a look at the fine arts of sullying mainstream holidays and creating complex, compelling characters with Alexander [Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest].
