There are few things we’re more excited about here at the Library than the upcoming release of Mike Carey’s prequel to his 2014 novel The Girl With All the Gifts (which is also now a damned fine film – you can read more about that in Rue Morgue’s Jan/Feb 2017 cover story written by yours truly).
But today we got our first look at the cover of The Boy on the Bridge (out May 2 from Hachette/Orbit), as well as an early sneak peak at what’s inside, courtesy an excerpt posted on io9. Head on over and check it out right now.
Still need more? Here’s the book’s official teaser blurb from Amazon, where you can pre-order the novel now:
Once upon a time, in a land blighted by terror, there was a very clever boy.
The people thought the boy could save them, so they opened their gates and sent him out into the world.
To where the monsters lived.
Nope, May can’t come fast enough. Not fast enough at all.
